Sadberk Hanım Museum
This museum is located at Buyükdere in an historical seaside pavilion on the European side of Istanbul. Opened in 1980, it is the first privately owned museum in Turkey. It contains Turkish handicrafts, embroideries, and garments which had been collected by Sadberk Koç. A collection of antiquities which spans the Hittite, Frigian, Urartian, Mycaean, Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman periods was later added to the museum.
